This Privacy Statement covers www.thehomehub.co.za (the Website) and other sites that reference this Privacy Statement. Some of The Home Hub entities, programs and/or sites may have their own, possibly different, privacy statements. We encourage you to read the privacy statements of each of the The Home Hub websites you visit and any program information you visit or review.

1. Global Privacy Fundamentals

Our privacy practices reflect current global principles and standards on handling personal information. These principles include notice of data use, choice of data use, data access, data integrity, security, onward transfer and enforcement/oversight.

The Home Hub will only gather information related to your visit to the The Home Hub site. We do not track or collect personal information from your visits to companies or entities outside the The Home Hub Group of companies.

Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, Diners or American Express credit cards or by bank transfer into the The Home Hub’s bank account, the details of which will be provided after checkout.

Credit card acquiring and security

Credit card transactions will be acquired for The Home Hub via approved payment gateways. Our payment gateways use the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no credit card details are stored on the website.

Customer details separate from card details

Customer details will be stored by The Home Hub separately from card details.

Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency

The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction Currency is South African Rand (ZAR).

10. Your information, Privacy and Data Protection

You understand and agree that The Home Hub collects, uses, stores and otherwise processes Your personal information and utilisation data and may share such data with third party service providers for the purposes of improving or providing the Services subject to The Home Hub’s Privacy Statement. Data to be processed includes Your name, email address, and other information which may include but is not limited to Your telephone number, and postal address.

You agree that The Home Hub may access, preserve and disclose Your personal information and/or Content if required to do so by law or to: (i) comply with a legal process; (ii) respond to claims that any Content violates the rights of third parties or (iv) protect the rights, property or personal safety of The Home Hub, Users, and the public.

We communicate with users who subscribe to our services on a regular basis via e-mail, and we may also communicate by phone to resolve customer complaints or investigate suspicious transactions.
